She will be deeply missed by her husband, Viswanatha Sastry three daughters: Rekha Laks, Radhika Desai, and Renuka Vasthare sons-in-law: Duraiyappan Lakshminarayanan, Gopal Desai, and Ashe Vasthare six grandchildren, Aparna Desai, Varun Lakshminarayanan, Akshay Desai, Natasha Vasthare, Nikhil Vasthare, and Veena Laks as well as by her sister and brother. She also loved music, particularly bhajans, and enjoyed Indian musical talent shows. Lalitha thoroughly enjoyed cooking and loved to share meals with her family. Lalitha married Viswanatha Sastry in 1960 and together they raised three wonderful daughters: Rekha, Radhika, and Renuka. She initially resided in Piscataway, New Jersey before settling in South Plainfield in 2002. Lalitha Sastry, 81, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.īorn in India in 1941, Lalitha was well-traveled and lived in India, England, and several other countries prior to immigrating to the United States in 1990.
